Vogue magazine recently interviewed Reese Witherspoon inside her beautiful Spanish-style house in Brentwood as part of their ongoing “73 Questions at Home” video series. For Day 2 of “Celeb Estate Week” here on my blog, I thought I’d show you some highlights from the tour…
I snapped these screenshots while she led the interviewer through the house.
When asked what her Hip Hop name would be, she says, “Little Spoon.”
Her house looks laid-back and comfortable to me. I think I could make myself right at home in this family room…
Out by the pool (with a little golden man in the ice bucket!), she’s asked what her least favorite food is:
She shows us the trampoline in her backyard and does a back flip — in a skirt, no less! — that’s pretty impressive:
Back into the house through the back door:
The living room off the front entry has a fireplace, bookshelves, and a piano in the corner:
These interviews Vogue does are a little odd. You never see the interviewer, who asks a rapid series of questions. But I love that they walk through their houses while answering them! You might remember when they did a similar QA with Sarah Jessica Parker earlier this year in her West Village brownstone.
Wish we could get a closer look at her bookshelves. When asked what she’s been reading, Reese answered Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty. My book club finished reading Moriarty’s earlier novel The Husband’s Secret last month, and I loved it.
Reese recently addressed her 2013 arrest in another interview, saying, “I think it was a moment where people realized I wasn’t exactly who they thought I was.” I think she’s right!

BTW, her house went on the market earlier this year, so you can see more of it in the listing photos:
Her country retreat in Ojai would be my dream house. I still can’t believe she sold it — and at a loss! Seems almost criminal. I loved that one and, as my mom would say, “You’d have to carry me out of there feet first.”
