A Classic Country House in Connecticut For Sale

Follow it downstairs and it leads   to   a finished lower level:

There are 7 bedrooms and 8 baths.   P.S. Boy, did my blog have a rough weekend. For more photos and information, check the Sotheby’s listing by Carol Zuckert and watch a video tour   (which is where I got some of these screenshots). Want it? Today I’m tired of dealing with tech stuff   and just want to   look at pretty houses like this country home   in Greenwich…

It was designed by architect Boris Baranovich in 2007   on “four tranquil acres” overlooking English gardens and a pond. Instead of “New-Old,” here’s   an “Old-New   House” in Connecticut:

Are You Hooked on Houses? One opens to reveal   a built-in bar…

…and the other door opens to a spiral staircase. I’m   relieved that it’s finally back, and I have to give a shout-out to all the   smart tech support people who spent hours helping me revive it! The homeowners wanted “a new old house” with traditional details like the wraparound mahogany porch, antique wide-plank oak floors, and hand-hewn beams from a barn in Canada.
