Perched atop a rocky cliff-side in a lakeside neighbourhood of Whistler, the 5000 sq.ft. Lakecrest Residence is surrounded on all sides by stunning panoramic views of mountains, lake and forest. The house design negotiates the challenging and rugged natural topography of the site while capturing views from every space.
The social areas (kitchen, dining, family room) are organized along a spacious circulation spine creating gathering spaces that face outwards towards the lake and mountains beyond. The spine terminates at the Great Room which cantilevers over the existing steep terrain and opens up to the views in all directions.
The bedrooms are located in a separate wing directly related to a private and quiet exterior courtyard.
